Folligen Hair Regrowth: Does
It WORK?
If you're tired of losing your hair and you want to try something that's
scientifically proven to work, start with Minoxidil. If you want to speed the process up a little, or, if you're
not exactly losing your hair just yet, but it seems like an obvious conclusion to some minor hair thinning,
Folligen Hair treatments offer a full package hair recovery and/or treatment program.
What exactly does folligen hair treatment do? Well, more
importantly than what it does is what it undoes. Go find a photograph of your great grandparents. Notice how thick,
shiny and lustrous their hair looked back then. Know why that is? Because they never did anything to their hair.
Now Folligen Hair treatment is required for many people.
They didn't perm it, they didn't dye it, they didn't tease it, spray it, gel it,
mousse it, straighten it, curl it or even apply a bunch of chemical based shampoos to it.
All they really did was rinse it out with hot water when they took a
shower.
Likewise, if you look at women who live in poorer parts of the world, they tend to
have more beautiful hair than people in the UK, the US, Canada and other more wealthy countries. Why? Because they
don't have a beauty salon on every single corner of every single block in every single city.
Another example: Look at the punk singer Andrew WK. His hair is thick, shiny and
beautiful without being greasy or ratted (even though he's a punk rocker!). He doesn't do anything to his hair. He
runs his fingers through it instead of brushing it, and he doesn't even wash it.
The fact is that almost all of us do something to our hair that simply ruins it. We
damage the hair follicles themselves, we get split ends, we dry our hair out, and most important, we damage our
scalps. We damage our scalps with chemicals, heating lamps and irons and even by doing a little too much
washing.
This damages hair to the roots, to the point where simply sitting around waiting for
it to get better won't do you any favors when it comes to letting your scalp heal and letting your hair return to
its natural beauty.
So folligen can help regrow hair, yes, but more importantly, it can help regrow
beauty.
To be clear, folligen isn't really designed to combat male pattern baldness, although
used in tandem with a minoxidil based treatment, you may be able to regrow hair and make it more beautiful than
ever all at once.
What folligen is really for is to help reverse the hair loss that's, well, all your
fault, to be blunt.
Interestingly, both folligen and minoxidil were discovered to be useful hair-regrowth
medications entirely by accident. Minoxidil was initially a product being used to treat high blood pressure, but
one of the side effects included excessive hair growth, so people wound up applying it directly to their heads and
the rest is history. Folligen was actually designed as a dermatology cream to repair damaged skin. The idea of
using it to regrow hair actually came from the whim of a forty one year old woman who had tried pretty much
everything to regrow hair to her damaged scalp, and, completely out of ideas, said something like "What the heck,
why not?" and began using skin creams directly on her scalp to see if it might help.
It did.
Obviously, the people who produced folligen would have to be crazy not to immediately
repackage the product as a hair regrowth formula.
Honestly, there are very, very few hair regrowth products out there that actually
work, and if you've tried a dozen and found none of them to work, you may chalk it all up to snake oil salesman,
like those late night commercials you see for products that increase the size of that "certain part" of the male
anatomy.
You probably can't increase the size of any specific part of your body with a magic
little pill, but hair regrowth is actually a scientifically possible phenomenon!
Rather than using harsh chemicals or medicines, folligen
treatments are actually created from a formula of hormones and vitamins and so forth. This means that there's
nothing in the product that isn't already in your body, so you don't have to worry about doing more harm than good
to your skin with these products.
Folligen comes in a few different applications. The basic stuff you can get is a
cream that is essentially shampooed into the hair so as to offer a full treatment for the hair and scalp. You can
also get liquid folligen to use on receding hair lines, or you can use a spray-on applicator, which allows you to
simply mist your hair to improve its quality without having to make a daily ritual of applying the
stuff.
Obviously, the spray is best for minimal hair damage, the liquid stuff is good for
minor hair loss, and the cream is the best choice for anyone experiencing more noticeable hair
loss.
